Ministry Teams

First Impressions Team

Can you remember the last time you entered a church building for the first time? Where everyone around you was a stranger? Can you remember how difficult it was for you to know what to expect, where to sit, who to talk to and what was expected of you? If so, then you know how important it is for someone to approach you with a smile and welcome you.
Every week at EaglePoint guests arrive. They may be new to the area, looking for a fresh ministry, or maybe they are searching to find out how God can be a part of their lives. This makes it so crucial that we are good at welcoming guests so that they will feel at home and will want to come back. This process begins the moment they pull into the parking lot and continues until they pull off the lot. First Impression Team members are friendly, good at making conversation, forbearing, wear a smile, and are happy to answer questions. If you are interested in serving on the First Impressions Team please contact Kenny Burell at 689-0787 or

Worship

Our worship gatherings are a vital part of EaglePoint church. We only have one hour out of the week to connect with the people that come through the doors of our church. As a result, we want to create an authentic worship experience that draws people into the presence of God. In order to do this we strive to eliminate all distractions while at the same time pushing the lines of creativity in our gatherings. We want to achieve excellence in every aspect of the worship service: the music, the video & media, the flow, and the feel of every minute. Ironically, we believe that this is the best way to remove ourselves from the picture and focus all the attention and glory on Jesus Christ. There are many people that make up our worship team and we will continue add to our numbers and positions as we grow. Worship team members are often, but not limited too: creative thinkers, very committed, passionate about worship, and have some musical or technological knowledge, experience, or general interest. EaglePoint Kids

If you have children, you already know how important our children’s ministry is. If not, then it probably still makes perfect since that we would want our kids area to be top notch in every aspect. From the security, to the environment, to the curriculum, Camp EaglePoint and The Eagle’s Nest is so much more than just a baby-sitting hour. If we can provide an experience that the children love, then they and their parents will come back. If you have a heart for showing and teaching the love of Christ to children then we invite you to join our Camp Staff. We do require all teachers to be at least 19 years of age, however; there are other areas for students to get plugged in. Some qualities of our camp staff might include: compassionate, willing to sacrifice being a part of the worship service, getting on the floor, the ability to thank on a child’s level, and being flexible. There is always a need for more volunteers in this area of ministry. For more information on current needs and getting signed up to serve contact Robin Boyles: 256-282-2810 or

Connection Groups

Connection Groups should be an area of ministry where every church member is involved. We believe it is crucial for each person to a part of a small group bible study and to have the relationships that result from our Connection Groups. This ministry will be constantly evolving as we grow. However, our groups will always have the need for Hosts and Facilitators. A Host would be someone who has the gift of hospitality and is passionate about welcoming people and making them feel comfortable. Being a host may mean opening your home up for a group to meet there, but there will also be a need for hosts of groups that meet in other locations, such as at EaglePoint. A Connection Group Facilitator would be someone who is able to lead discussion, has a solid biblical understanding and knowledge, and relates well to others. This can be one of the most rewarding volunteer positions in the church and is one of the most important. The number one role of the leader is to facilitate conversation during the Connection Group. The best connections and learning takes place when everyone is engaged in the discussion. The ability to keep that discussion focused, biblical and flowing are important qualities for a CG leader. Host Team

The Host Team is an important part of our Sunday morning ministry as well as our overall commitment to building community among our people. This team is responsible for creating welcoming and comfortable environments in the Connection Café on Sundays, for our GroupLink events, and other church-wide events. If you like hosting parties, you don’t mind set-up and teardown, or you really know your way around the kitchen, this may be the team for you. Whether you prefer to stay behind the scenes or can love to meet new people, the Host team is an excellent place to get plugged in with a variety of commitment levels. If you’re interested in serving on this team contact Cindy Young at 256-453-6373 or .
